Hello Fall
I wanted to use watercolours on a card and couldn't decide on an image to colour. I did, however, make a background of watercolours for my images which are stamped in black. And I love the effect.
I began with a base of Basic Black, then a layer of the Crushed Curry watercolour design from the Color Me Autumn Designer Series Paper and a layer of Basic Black again. Then, on a piece of Watercolor Paper, I used my Aqua Painter to brush Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry and Old Olive inks across it in casual wash. After that dried, I used Memento black ink to stamp two of the feathers from the Four Feathers stamp set near the top left and the Hello Fall sentiment from the For All Things stamp set at the bottom right.
Before attaching the Watercolor Paper, I added an Antique brad at the top of the feathers and tied some linen thread around it in loops. It's a simple card but I love the results.
For more cards using watercolours, check out The Paper Plunge.

And because if I go out into the woods these days, I enjoy the splendour of the autumn colours and see birds getting ready to fly to warmer climates. And so this is my entry for the Out In the Woods challenge over at SUO Challenges.
