Well, I've kept mine and for this card I'm using it despite its retired status. When you see my card, you'll agree that it had to be used.
There was this sketch challenge... Yes, another challenge, but this one intrigued me because the top layer was asymmetrical. Instead of being a rectangle, it was more of a trapezium. I liked the idea.
I kept it simple. My base cardstock is Basic Black with the next layer Mossy Meadow. The next layer is Pumpkin Pie which I first embossed with the spider web embossing folder and then lightly sponged with Basic Black to bring out the lines and also to shade the perimeter. Before attaching the layer to the Mossy Meadow, however, I first stamped the top right corner with one of the spiders from the Bite Me stamp set.
For the trapezium layer, I used a base of Basic Black and then cut another one slightly smaller in Pumpkin Pie. I used the Homemade Holiday framelits to cut a house into the Pumpkin Pie and then stamped some bats and a ghost from the Holiday Home stamp set using black Memento ink. Before attaching it to the Basic Black trapezium using Dimensionals, I coloured the ghost using my uni-ball Signo Gel Pen.
For the sentiment I stamped "boo to you" from the hostess Good Greetings stamp set onto a piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock using Versamark and white embossing powder. It looked great when I heat embossed it.
