WCC07 -- A Sketch Challenge
It's time for another Watercooler Challenge and this time it's all about the sketch:
It's fun to work with sketches and I'm itching to try out some of my new Holiday Catalogue products.
I used the Wondrous Wreath bundle, For All Things stamp set and Santa Stache stamp set. I also used some of the paper from the Trim the Tree Designer Series Paper Stack. My base cardstock is Naturals White with a layer of Garden Green and then a layer of Whisper White onto which I first stamped the sentiment in Garden Green ink. Then I mounted all the squares using Dimensionals.
Three of the squares are a layer of Cherry Cobbler, then the designer paper and a die-cut ribbon that I had heat embossed using Cherry Cobbler embossing powder. The fourth square is a layer of Cherry Cobbler, a crumpled layer of White Creped Filter Paper and then a cut-out of the acorns from the For All Things stamp set. The little tag by the acorns is from the Santa Stache stamp set.
I'm really happy with the way the sketch translated into this card. It's fun but still clean and simple which I like.
For more cards in this sketch challenge, check out the Watercooler Challenge Blog.
I also decided to enter the card into the Handstamped Sentiments colour challenge.
