PP247 -- Thinking of you

It's been some time since I played along with the Paper Players.  Life has been rather busy.  Today, however, I took the opportunity of playing with some of my new "toys" and decided to indulge in the fun Tic Tac Toe challenge that the Paper Players have posted this week.

Of course it took me almost as long to decide what direction to play as  it did to make my card.  Finally, having decided on my cardstock and the rest of what I was going to use, I realized that subconsciously I had already made my decision.  My conscious mind just had to catch up.  I chose to go diagonally and do the Die-cut/Embossing/Sequins.  My colour choice would be perfect for that.  I had pulled out some white and some Mint Macaron.  The clear choice would be to use silver sequins with that, die cut a silver foil butterfly, and heat-emboss my sentiment in silver embossing powder.

I also added some of that soft and so exceptionally-easy-to-tie Dotted Lace Trim in the Mint Macaron.  Each time I use the ribbon I fall more deeply in love (and I'm not usually a ribbon user).  I also used the new Bojo Chic embossing folder on a piece of the Mint Macaron cardstock and the Decorative Dots embossing folder on a layer of white cardstock.

I love the results, don't you?

    1. Thanks, Laurie. I haven't done many Tic Tac Toe challenges, but I liked the choices in yours.

  2. Heidi. I love your Butterfly Boho Chic. Or should that be Boho Chic Butterfly. Either way...fabulous! Perfect for an Open House or other New Catalog event too. Yeah...I feel a CASE coming on. Thanks for thinking of and creating the design. Your unconscious does great work.

"Rather busy" Miss Heidi. That's like calling a mudslide a spot of dusty bother!

    1. Thanks, Jean. CASE away with my blessing. I hadn't thought of the card as being for an Open House or New Catalog event, but you're right, it would work well. I'm not sure I have time in June. Seriously, I could use a clone RIGHT NOW. Just being myself isn't keeping up with life these days.

  3. This is gorgeous, Heidi! I love that big silver butterfly combined with the soft lace trim. After hearing you describe it, I think I need to get some, too! Thanks for sharing your creation with us this week at The Paper Players!

    1. Thanks, Sandy. I'm not much for ribbons but this really is so easy to tie and feels scrumptious. I'm getting more colours. This is a ribbon that I think will sell nicely if I have everyone make a card using it.

    1. Thanks so much, Shannon. It's funny how we wind up enabling each other, isn't it? I was really on the fence about that embossing folder but ordered it during the sneak peek on a whim because so many EFs had retired. I'm glad I took the chance. It's a much nicer pattern in person than I had expected.
