The subtle tones of the DSP and the adorable stamps are so easy to use together. Made me want to run to my stamp room and get busy. The bear is perfect! I scrolled down to your second and third cards and got even more excited. I love your pattern matchups with the DSP and all the additional progressive steps. So well done! I like the other images, too, but that one is so sweet. I can see it being used for baby cards, too. The first card is so simple but very elegant because of that.Heidi Weaverhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05419041098621498364noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1635210224338635842.post-55090000868265392892016-08-18T23:53:32.433-06:002016-08-18T23:53:32.433-06:00We missed you, Libby. The stamps, DSP, and all those delicious embellishments really appeal to me. Maybe because, unlike so many, they're on the muted side.Heidi Weaverhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05419041098621498364noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1635210224338635842.post-49075796747472982962016-08-18T23:51:53.191-06:002016-08-18T23:51:53.191-06:00Thanks, Priscilla. I thought someone starting out could easily handle that and feel good about sending out a simple but elegant card like that. That Gingerbread house design on the DSP just begs to be cut out. I can see a lot of fussy-cutting in my future.Heidi Weaverhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05419041098621498364noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1635210224338635842.post-88527525793155474402016-08-18T23:49:29.394-06:002016-08-18T23:49:29.394-06:00Thanks, Marie. I'm not a big user of DSP but ...Thanks, Marie. I'm not a big user of DSP but this particular one appealed to me, probably because, unlike so many of the DSPs, it is based on only four colours: Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Real Red, and Whisper White. It's not as hard to mix and match when the papers all compliment each other. And they're beautifully muted as well. The Star of Light flourish just seemed to beg to be stamped under the sentiment---so I let it have its way. I like the effect. CASE away. :)Heidi Weaverhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05419041098621498364noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1635210224338635842.post-30440035672762746862016-08-18T23:29:37.511-06:002016-08-18T23:29:37.511-06:00That bear with his little red bowtie is just adora...That bear with his little red bowtie is just adorable! I never seem to come up with right combinations! And of course your use of the red glimmer paper, which is so pretty. It was a pleasant surprise to see the star flourish from the Star of Light in the inside of the third card. I'm going to have to CASE that!
